Urban Decay Naked Palette Review!
I’m a little late on reviewing the Naked Palette, but I wanted to be able to try out every color for a little bit and see how it all works and if I truly do like or dislike it. Urban Decay has brought out such amazing products in the past few years and I have to say this is one of their best.
To start off with, I’ll talk about the eyeshadows in this palette.
Virgin; a beautiful light cream/white color with a great sheen to it. It’s the perfect color for a brow highlighter.
Sin; a very nice peach shimmery eyeshadow that’s perfect for a light wash all over the lid.
Naked is a matte light copper/brown color, I’m not a huge fan of mattes because i’ve never found a good one that blended well enough, but this one blends beautifully.
Sidecar; probably my favorite eyeshadow in this palette, it’s full of shimmer and gives great depth to the lid without being over the top.
Buck; similar to Naked but full of depth, it’s much darker which means it’s great for a crease color. Half Baked; also one of my favorites. It’s a rich gold color that hold its own. You could get away with using this color all over your lid and be done with your look. It’s a warmer gold then most, I like that the most because some company put out golds that are far too yellow for my liking.
Smog; a medium to dark bronze color, full of great shimmer. A great color for adding depth to your eye look.
Darkhorse; a dark chocolate brown color with bronze flecks running through it. This is a great eyeshadow for more of a subtle smokey eye.
Toasted is a brown that shows its feminine side with a lot of pink bursting out of it. It’s a great light color that can hold its own.
Hustle; it’s a confusing color at first glance, once you use it you’ll see that it’s not only a deep purple but has a lot of brown running through it as well. If you like dark eye looks this color is great for you. Creep; some people might get a little skeptical with this color because they think its a dark shimmery black. If you look closely you can see that i’s more of a deep blue with silver shimmer all throughout it. Gunmetal; a color I haven’t used a lot, but trust me when I say this; it’s true to the color you see in the palette. It’s a blue/grey color that gives off a great metallic edge.
The textures of this eyeshadows is one of the best parts of this palette, they have this smoothness to them that not a lot of companies can pull of. Like all eyeshadows there’s some fall-out to the extent. Always remember to tap off any extra shadow from your brush to keep extra fall-out going all over your face. The shadows go on evenly and heavily, meaning; you don’t have to keep layering over and over until you get the color you see in the palette.
The other best part about this palette is the travel size Urban Decay Primer Potion you get with it. I’m a huge fan of this primer, it works perfectly. It doesn’t crease, it sets nicely and you often don’t need a sticky base on top when using difficult eyeshadows.
All in all I think this palette is a great buy, you get so many different types of eyeshadows and a primer for a very good price. You can create many different looks using those eyeshadows, from nice and natural to dark and smokey.
