Tarte: Tartelette Palette Review
I’ve wanted to get my hands on Tarte’s Tartelette Palette ever since Judy from ItsJudyTime reviewed it on her YouTube channel. I’ve always been a fan of shadows with more of a shimmer to them, but lately I’ve loved how mattes look.
There are 12 matte shadows in this palette; each row can create a beautiful eye look. Every color is has great color pay-off, even the lighter colors. The palette also comes with an eye chart; 2 looks you can create with this palette. The color chart is perfect for beginners, or those who want a little guidance with a palette they aren’t use to. It also has a big mirror, perfect for travel.
Free Spirit: A very light cream, with a slight yellowish tint.
Force of Nature: The perfect nude, a great color for blending out harsher shadows.
Dreamer: A warm brown, with a very slight hint of red underneath.
Multi-Tasker: A medium chocolate brown, perfect color to add depth, without the dramatics.
Caregiver: A creamy baby pink.
Natural Beauty: Nude beige, with a hint of purple underneath.
Best Friend: Deep mauve, a good contrast to all the nude browns.
Bombshell: Dark berry, perfect for adding definition to the crease.
Super Mom: Creamy ivory, great for brow-bone highlighting.
Wanderer: Creamy light brown, perfect for all over the lid.
Power Player: Dark taupe, it makes for a good transition color.
Fashionista: Creamy black, which blends beautifully (most black shadows are difficult to blend)
First row (top of palette), Middle row (middle of palette), Last row (bottom of palette)
I created a look using Natural Beauty all over my lids, I then blended Natural Beauty into my crease, and to deepen up the look I used Bombshell in the outer-corner, and highlighted the whole look using Super Mom right under the brow-bone.
I think this palette is well worth the money, it has great color pay-off, and it’s long lasting on my lids (don’t forget an eye primer). You can create so many different looks with this palette, from day-to-night.
If you would like to purchase this palette you can get it from Sephora, Ulta, or Tarte.com for $44.00
