Tarte Cosmetics: Chrome for the Holidays

It’s been a really long time since I’ve used loose eye shadows/pigments. But when I saw this set of 4 paint shadow pots, I couldn’t resist asking for them for Christmas..

The 4 piece set comes with 4 very different shades of chrome paint shadows. Now I think the word “Paint” is misleading, because you probably expect a creamy/liquid product, but I can assure you that these shadows are a loose powder.

This is definitely my favorite chrome shadow, most likely because it’s the darkest, and most wearable. Its a dark bronze with gold glitter

This chrome shadow is the most unique in the set. It’s a chrome champagne with green/blue glitter

The swatches you see above do not have any primer or sticky base underneath. I think the pigment is is pretty good quality. I would suggest a white sticky base underneath to get the best results and best color payoff. There is some fall-out, but not like some other pigments I have tried in the past. The color strength and actually product lasted on my eyes all day. That was using the Urban Decay: Primer Potion and NYX Cosmetics: Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk.

I definitely think these are worth trying out! You get 4 gorgeous chrome loose shadows, that are highly pigmented. They’re also on sale right now on Tarte.com for $19! They are originally $24 and valued at $48.
