Winter can be a time for loneliness and/or depression, so I thought a bright fun makeup look would be a good pick-me-up for me and maybe even you. Not everyone struggles with depression or mental illness, I do. And I want you to know that I’m here for you, and even if we’re strangers, we can still have a conversation that means something. Now that I got that off my chest, lets get into the makeup look!
When I saw this palette in my January Boxy Charm box, my creative juices started going!
Ace Beaute: Vintage Dawn

For most of my eye looks I used cosmetic tape to help keep my lines sharp and clean. After applying those along each eye, I applied Horizon into my crease using a very fluffy crease brush

Using the same brush I blended Grand Canyon right over top of Horizon

Now that my crease colors are complete I removed my cosmetic tape

Do you see that crisp and sharp line?! I love it so much… haha
For my lids, I wanted a nice pop of color. And to get it as bright as possible, first I applied NYX Cosmetics: Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk to my lids. And right on top of that I packed on Day Break with a flat shading brush

To open the eyes a little more, I applied Sun to the inner corner of my eyes

Using a smudging brush, I applied Cactus along my lower lash-line

I didn’t want to take away the bright effect this look gave, so I applied a very thin liquid line along my top lash-line

I then added Tarte: Tarteist Pencil Liner along my water-line

To finish up my eyes I applied 2 heavy coats of Tarte: Maneater Mascara to both my top and bottom lashes

To finish my look, I didn’t want to go with a crazy lip color. So I used Colourpop: Frozen 2-Anna Lipstick in Going North

And now your bright in the Winter makeup look is complete!
