Smoky Green Eyes
It has been some time since posting a makeup tutorial on my blog. and I thought a smoky green look would be the perfect kick off for a new look! Green is one of the staple colors to make brown eyes pop, so if you’re looking for a color to help enhance your brown eyes, this look might be right for you.
So let’s get started!
Priming the eyes is the best way to keep long lasting shadows and less creasing! I used TooFaced Shadow Insurance.
To get your eyeshadows to stick better and apply evenly apply a sticky base on top of your eye primer. For this I used NYX Cosmetics: Jumbo Eye Pencil in Iced Mocha.
Apply the jumbo eye pencil only onto the lid, not going above the crease.
For the shadows I used Urban Decay: Spectrum Palette.
Using a flat shader brush I applied DayBreak all over my lid, lightly blending it upwards.
Over the top of DayBreak, I applied Protest all over, blending it over the main color. Layering colors helps the shadows last longer, and appear bolder/more vibrant.
Using a dome shaped blending brush, blend Protest above your crease.
To add more definition you can add a darker shadow to the crease of your eyes. Using a pointed blending brush, I applied West to my crease, and blended upwards, and outwards.
Time to line the top lids!
For this I used Sephora: Disney Minnie– Colorful wink-It Felt Liner in Little Black Dress.
With a steady hand, I applied a medium line above my top lashes, with a medium/long wing.
Next I lined my water-line with Maybelline: Waterproof Gel Pencil in Glazed Toffee.
On your lower lash-line, smudge Protest along it using a small smudging brush.
To brighten up and open the eyes up, apply NYX Cosmetics: Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk to the inner corners of your eyes.
To set the jumbo eye pencil and blend it out a little, apply FlatLine on top of Milk.
Now to add some mascara and your eyes are complete! Using my favorite Benefit: Roller Lash, apply liberally to both your top and bottom lashes.
But eyes are always the most important part of your makeup, add any color lip that makes you comfortable! Here I used Sephora: Disney Minnie- Minnie-ature Cream Lip Stain in Always Red.
And your look is complete!
