Skin Care Routine!

Skin care is a very important thing, for guys and girls. I think that it’s important to find something that works for you. Just because it’s a high-end brand, that doesn’t mean it will work for you. As I got older and learned more about makeup and skincare I discovered what type of skin type I had. It’s oily-combination. I never was a fan of paying a lot of money for something I’d have to keep repurchasing month after month, but I found a skin care I love and I believe it’s worth the money. I’ve been using ‘Clinique’ “3 Step System” for about 2 years, it’s gotten me to the point where I believe I have normal skin now, there’s barely any oil on my skin and it’s great. And my face is always clear. With this system you get a liquid facial soap, a clarifying lotion (toner) and a gel lotion. It’s very calm and hasn’t irritated my skin since I got it.

Along with a great skincare line, I needed something great to remove my makeup. I’ve tried a lot of different products, from liquid makeup remover to makeup remover wipes. The first makeup remover I used was a horrible idea, it was the L’Oreal liquid makeup remover. I figured since it was a very loved drugstore brand, that their remover would be great. I hated it the minuted i tried it, my biggest issue was when I would tried to remove my eye makeup, the instant I placed the product on my lid (closed of course) it burned, it felt uncomfortable and not safe at all. I immediately stopped using it, I needed to find a new product right away. After watching a few beauty gurus on YouTube rave about Mac Cosmetics makeup wipes I decided to give them a try, I’d never tried makeup remover wipes before so I thought they worked as good as they all were suppose to. I wasn’t a big fan of the scent, it wasn’t pleasant, nor needed for makeup remover. It didn’t get all of my makeup off, especially my mascara and I found that they dried up pretty fast, even when I kept them completely closed up. I knew I needed another option, especially since I didn’t want to pay around $20 a month just for makeup remover. I decided to try the Neutrogena makeup remover cleansing towelettes; the Hydrating one. I fell in love with it right away, it didn’t hurt my eyes, so I felt confident enough to use it on the makeup right under my eyes close to the lash line and haven’t found any irritation or problems at all. I’ve been using these specific makeup wipes for a few years now, I don’t think I’ll ever find one that’s inexpensive and removes all my makeup with one wipe, just like this one.

That’s all for my skincare, I’m not one to use wrinkle creams or eye creams just yet. I understand the best way to be free of them is to start preventing now, but as of now, I’m happy with the small amount of products I use for my skincare. One day I’ll begin using wrinkle and eye creams and when I do, there will be a new skincare routine, as of now this it is and I’m happy with it.
