Simple Holiday Look
With Christmas being around the corner, there’s going to be quite a few parties to attend, and we all need to look our best!
So let’s get started with the look!
The best way to start a full face makeup look is to have a fresh, clean face. Make sure to moisturize so product applies evenly.
Time to glam up the skin. Maybelline: Fit Me Foundation in 115.
Using a buffing brush, apply the foundation all over your face, blended it into your neck and slightly on your ears.
Rimmel: Stay Matte Powder in Silky Beige
Using a kabuki brush, I blended the powder all over where I put the foundation to help keep shine away and to set the foundation.
BH Cosmetics: 10 Color Blush Palette
Using a large blush brush, I applied the 4th color on the bottom row to my cheeks, and blended outward.
Now it’s time for the eyes! Always prep your eyes with a primer. For this I used Too Faced: Shadow Insurance
Nyx Cosmetics: Jumbo Eye Pencil in Lavender
Apply the jumbo pencil all over the lid, this will help the shadows stick to your lid. This helps the eye shadow last longer, and reduce any fall-out.
Urban Decay: Smoky Palette
Using a flat shading brush apply DirtySweet all over the lid, and slightly blend into the crease.
Taking a fluffy blending brush, apply Combust into the crease to help blend out Dirtysweet and help with blending any further eye shadows.
To start darkening the look apply Radar to the outer-v of your eye lid.
Make sure to blend out Radar so there aren’t any harsh lines.
To fully create a smoky look, on top of Radar apply Black Market into the outer-v.
Apply Black Market and continue to blend out until you reach the darkness you achieve.
To finish off the top lid, apply Thirteen to your brow-bone to highlight the eyes.
Next step is to apply some liner. Taking Urban Decay: 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero, apply it to your waterline and tightline.
To smudge out the liner, lightly blend Black Market into the lower lash-line.
To open up the eyes a little more, apply High to the inner corner to help highlight and open up the eyes.
To start finishing the eyes, apply a thin line of Urban Decay: 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero along your top lash-line, and very slightly wing it out.
Apply two coats of mascara to complete the eyes! For this I used Benefit Cosmetics: They’re Real
And your eyes are complete!
It wouldn’t be a complete holiday look without red lips!
Taking Nars Cosmetics: Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella, apply all over your lips. (I didn’t see it necessary to use a lip liner).
I really wanted this color with some shine, so I added a gloss on top. I used Manna Kadar Cosmetics: Liplocked in Lucky.
And your Simple Holiday Look is complete and you’re ready for that party!
