Saturday Reviews! Starlooks Kohl Pencil: Obsidian

     In my September Ipsy bag along with all the other goodies I received, I got a Starlooks Kohl Pencil in Obsidian. I had never heard of this brand before, so I was excited to try something new. My favorite eyeliners as you all know are the Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliners, so I’m not usually on the look out to test out new eyeliners. My Ipsy bag gave me a chance to test out a new eyeliner, and I’m happy I got it! 

     This eyeliner is black, but on the water line it shows up as a charcoal. When I apply a dark black eyeliner to my waterline I want it to show up as I see it in the pencil. Although this color doesn’t show up dark on your waterline, it does show up dark black on your lid. I tested it out by thinly lining my upper lash-line, perfect for an everyday look. I didn’t apply any base to my lid prier to applying the eyeliner. The wear of this eyeliner is amazing. Reminds me of the staying power of the Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner. 

As you can see I also took the eyeliner down to my lower lash-line, but just in the outer-corner. I met it up with the top line. 

Pro’s:

1. Long lasting

2. Dark on lid

3. Smooth application

4. Amount (the eyeliner pencil is very long, bigger than Urban Decay’s)

Con’s:

1. Removal (since it’s long lasting it does take extra time to come off)

2. Price ($12.00)

3. Smell (all eyeliners has a certain scents, but this one smells like melted crayon-not a big fan)

Personally I can see myself repurchasing Starlooks Kohl Pencil’s, I would love to test out all the colors (10 available)
