Saturday Reviews: Pixi Lash Booster Mascara

Today I’ll be reviewing Pixi Lash Booster Mascara.

Price at Pixibeauty.com: $17.00

Ingredients: Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Dextrin Palmitate/Ethylhexanoate, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Microcrystalline Wax, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Aluminum Distearate, Peg-8 Dioleate, Sorbitan Isostearate, Propylparaben, Simethicone, Tocopherol, Talc, Mica, Iron Oxides (CI 77499). May Contain: [+/- Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI 77510)].

The description on Pixibeauty.com says that this mascara “A do-it-all mascara that curls, defines, lengthens and thickens with a glossy, water-resistant finish.” Is this true? I’ll let you know right now! I’ve been using this mascara everyday for the past week to get a full feel for how it works. I can honestly say it lives up to its description, but remember, not every product out there is completely perfect!  Pro’s:

1. Curls your lashes

2. Lengthens lashes

3. Glossy finish

4. Long lasting

5. No flaking

6. Intense black color payoff

Cons:

1. Clumps if using more than one coat

2. Hard to remove with makeup wipes and cleanser 

3. Not great for bottom lashes (because of how much it lengthens)

4. Brush head (I prefer rubber mascara brushes)

5. Doesn’t give lashes volume

This mascara is great for people that like long lasting wear, and trust me this mascara last! If you’re one that hates taking extra time to remove your makeup, I’d say this isn’t a product for you. It is a bit pricey if you’re use to drug store products and not high end.
