A few weeks ago, when I purchased my sisters Naked 3 Palette for Christmas, the cashier gave me a sample size of Clinique’s face primer. It took me a little bit to actually try it out. I’ve watched a lot of beauty people on YouTube talk about how great face primers. I was always skeptical, figured face primers were just one more useless, added step to a face routine.

I’ve used this product a few times now, it has about 3-4 uses in the packet. I noticed that my foundation didn’t wear off as it often does throughout the day. I saw that my foundation applied a lot smoother, and more evenly. The texture is very smooth, and it absorbs pretty quickly into the skin. Which I prefer, makes for less product just sitting on the face.       I would definitely say this is for normal-oily skin types. It’s oil-free, perfect if you have a lot of oil in your skin and you don’t want to add to it. The description mentions that it is a color-corrector. I occasionally have a little bit of redness on my cheeks, I did notice the red slightly toned down after applying the primer. My skin can be sensitive sometimes, this felt like a light moisturizer on my face, there wasn’t any discomfort or irritation.  Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Polysilicone-11, Silica, Dimethicone Silylate, Sucrose, Isopentyldiol, Algae Extract, Saccharide Isomerate, Hypnea Musciformis (Algae) Extract, Gellidiela Acerosa (Algae) Extract, Caffeine, Poria Cocos Sclerotium Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Laminaria Saccharina Extract, Morus Bombycis (Mulberry) Root Extract, Amorphophallus Konjac Root Powder, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Polysorbate 20, Ammonium Acryloyldimethytaurate /VP Copolymer, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, Laureth-7, Stearyl Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Polyethylene, Isododecane, Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrrylate Copolymer, laureth-21, Caprylyl Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Magnesium Myristate, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, [+/- Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Mica, Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Iron Oxides (CI 77491), CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)  Pro’s:

I definitely recommend this primer to others out there! Yes it is pricey, but I would suggest wearing it on special occasion. Or on days where you really need extra long-lasting wear from your foundation.
