Real Techniques (Core Collection) Review

Once again Real Techniques still makes the best brushes in my opinion, they are so multi-functional, and they last long and I haven’t had one shed on me yet! When I found out about the core collection, I thought it was a great deal, only $18.00 for 4 multi-use brushes. This collection also comes with a travel case, that can also be a brush stand!

So let’s get on with the brushes in this collection!
Detailer Brush: This is the smallest brush in this collection, the bristles are strong enough to pack on color to the lid. I personally like the size of this brush because it’s perfect for inner corner highlighting, and detailed color underneath the lash-line.

Pointed Foundation Brush: This is the only brush I haven’t really touched, mainly because I think it’s used for concealer, and I don’t use concealer. If you do use concealer, this brush is dense enough and perfect size for covering up blemishes.

Buffing Brush: This is my favorite brush out of this collection, I use it for my liquid foundation. The bristles are extremely soft, but stiff enough to blend evenly. The brush is big enough to cover larger areas of the face, that way you can apply your foundation with your brush much faster.

Contour Brush: This is meant to be a contour brush, but like I said before, Real Techniques brushes are multi-functional. So I use this brush for my blush, the bristles are soft enough to add a light amount of pigment to the cheeks. And since the brush is smaller, I can control where my blush goes much better.

Real Techniques Brushes are, in my opinion: a bargain, they’re cheap, soft, easy to use, and very high quality. If you’re in the market for new brushes, I suggest you try these out!
