Poison Ivy Halloween Look!
This year I am a little far behind with my Halloween makeup looks, but that isn’t going to stop me from putting some up! For this look, I chose Poison Ivy, something much different from my looks from last year.
So let’s get started with this look!
First we need a good primer, especially if you plan on wearing this look out to trick or treat, or a party. I love my Urban Decay: Primer Potion. I applied it all over my lids, up to my brow bone, and out towards my temples (I will be blending shadows in that area).
Next we need something that the eye shadows will stick evenly too. I decided to use a Urban Decay: 24/7 Eyeliner, mainly because it will last all night, and they set fast, which helps shadows not crease. The one I used for this look is Apathy and dark-swamp like green. Apply this all over your lid, and quickly blend before it sets. I kept this only on my lid, this is where I wanted most of the color pay-off from my eye shadow.
Now it’s time for some dark green shadow! In my last Ipsy Bag I received Mica Beauty: Shimmer Powder in Harliquin, a really pretty dark-shimmery green. Perfect for this Halloween look.
I applied this all over my lid, and started blending upward all the way up to my brow. And past my brows slightly with the shadow. Next you want to pull it outward all the way to your temples, angling it like a cat-eye, but a giant one, like a long triangle.
Now it’s time to add some depth; eyeliner! Taking my L’Oreal: Gel Liner in Blackest Black, and a small eyeliner brush, I lined my top lash-line, adding a wing (longer than I normally do). I also ran the gel liner, thinly along my lower lash-line, connecting it with the top line.
Time to add our Ivy!
I found these small ivy-style leaves at Michaels, they only sold them as a bouquet. So I took my time, cut off each leaf, and removed the glue from the backings. But it was worth it!
Using my Duo: Lash Glue, I applied it anywhere I was going to apply the leaves. Remember to let the glue get tacky before applying the leaves, or press down on the leaves to your face until they aren’t slipping away. The placement of the leaves is totally up to you, I chose to place them all along the length of my eyebrows, and curving it down towards my cheekbones.
Now all that’s left for the eyes in black eyeliner, I used Urban Decay: 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero. And mascara, which is Urban Decay: Perversion Mascara. All have been applied in the picture above.
To finish the look, I decided to add a red lip. Mainly because Poison Ivy has red hair, and I didn’t feel the need to either buy a wig, or dye my hair bright red! Choose the option easiest for you to add in the red.
For the lips I used Starlooks: Lip Pencil in Tickle Me Pink, and Urban Decay: Super Saturated Lip Color in Theodora.
And now your easy Poison Ivy Halloween look is complete!
