Plum Eyes!

It has been a while since I posted a makeup look on here, so today I decided to keep the delay from continuing even longer! Today I’ll be using my Naked 3 palette from Urban Decay to create a beautiful “plum” eye look.  Before you get started always apply a base to the eyes. It’s important to have a base to help keep shadows from wearing off, creasing, and keeping them vibrant throughout the day! My go-to primer is the Urban Decay Primer Potion.

After applying the primer, I wanted to add another base, mainly for color purposes. And this extra base is stickier than the primer potion, so shadows will adhere much better. The base I used is by: Tini Beauty, in Violette. A beautiful, light, shimmery purple.

It’s Shadow application time!

Using my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, I took a flat shading brush and applied Limit (4th color from left) all over the lid, not passing the crease. Make sure to blend it out towards the brow-bone.

Next I applied Buzz (5th color from left) into the crease, and just blended it out using a small dome-shaped, fluffy brush.

To blend everything out and make everything smooth looking, I took Nooner (7th color from left) with that same dome-shaped, fluffy brush and blended the colors in the crease out.

To add depth to the look I took Blackheart (last color in the palette) in the outer corner of my eyes, and smudged it half-way along my lower lashes.

For a highlight for the brow-bone, I used a big fluffy brush, and applied Strange (first color in palette) under my brow-bone for a highlight and to help with any extra blending.

I like adding an inner-corner highlight to my eye looks, helps your eyes look brighter and more awake. So taking a creamy white pencil (I used Milk by Nyx Cosmetics), apply a small amount in the inner corner, and blend it out slightly. To set it in place I used a tiny lip brush and applied Dust (2nd color in palette).

Now that all the shadows are done and applied it’s time to start finishing off the look with some black accents!

Taking my Urban Decay eyeliner in Prestige, I ran it half way along my top lash-line, winging it out slightly. I also applied to my water-line, both top and bottom to add more depth.

Finally add two coats of mascara to both top and bottom lashes and your eyes are complete! For my mascara I used Cover-Girl Lashblast in Very Black

And your eyes are complete!

To finish this look completely I would suggest a subtle lip-gloss, without any color. But I felt that it was a little too boring, and I didn’t feel like playing it safe, so I went for a vibrant red! Using my Urban Decay Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in Theodora (from the OZ collection).

You can apply a lip liner before-hand, but I haven’t found a problem with this lip color feathering, or fading too fast.

And now your look is complete! Hope you enjoyed.
