Nails Nails Nails!
Tired of spending money going to a nail salon to get yourself pampered with a manicure? Trying to keep your nails as healthy as nails can be? Well today I’m going to help you with learning how to take care of your nails yourself, at home!
Let’s start off with Nail Care Products!
Nail Polish Remover: I have always bought the “Strong nails” nail polish remover because I have pretty weak nails from having fake nails so many times. It’s great having a cheap and simple product to help you get your nails strong and healthy!
Cuticle Cream: Tired of getting awful hangnails? Or really dry cuticles? Try a cuticle cream, it’s just like any body or hand lotion but meant for your cuticles. It keep them moisturized and healthy.
Base Coat: Annoyed whenever your nail polish stains your nails for at least a week after removing it? Try a base coat! It also helps your paint job last longer, sometimes up to 2 weeks without chipping! (Always remember that it helps when you have a great quality nail polish!)
Nail Files: I adore nail files, they’re my best friend! I have a problem with constant nail breakage because of my job. The best thing for me is to file them down short! I’m not a big fan of metal nail files, frankly I think they’re just too much money and I feel that they don’t work as fast for me. My favorite nail files are by REVLON, the medium grain ones, that way they aren’t too rough for my nails.
Next is of course nail polishes!
O.P.I.: I really love this brand, their nail polishes last for at least a week, maybe a little longer! They are a bit on the pricey side, but their color pay off and wear time is worth it! I’ve had a phew OPI nail polishes for more than a year and they work just as new, they don’t dry out or separate like other nail polishes.
China Glaze: I thought this was the coolest brand with awesome bright and fun colors! They are in the mid-price range, which is where they should be. Their wear time is less than OPI. I’d say my nail polish often lasted half a week which is still good and that’s without using a base or top coat!
Essie: Another great brand, their a huge range of nail polishes, which makes it so hard to buy just one! Their price makes it easier to buy one because like OPI, it’s on the pricey side. The color pay off is amazing, a little extra work is needed for full color pay off but it’s worth it! I’d say with a base coat and top coat their nail polishes can last up to 2 weeks.
If you have a steady hand or someone awesome that’s close to you and kicks butt and painting nails see if they’re up to it! Or find time to do it yourself, trust me it’s worth it! You may think some nail polishes are too expensive but driving all the way to a salon where you have to pay around $20 and up for a manicure (not including tip) isn’t always worth it! Especially if you’re painting your nails just for fun and not an occasion.
