Must Haves In Your Makeup Bag!
A lot of women think it’s always better to over pack then to leave something out, just so that women can always have options throughout a trips. Today I’m going to talk about must haves for your makeup bag. Whether it’s a makeup bag for your purse or for a trip you’re about to go on.
First off, don’t use a makeup bag that’s too big, especially if it’s for your daily handbag. For trips, a medium sized makeup bag is great, it also gives you less space so that you have to really think about what you need than what you want in your bag. Time for the makeup bag checklist! Foundation: If you have great skin and barely need any coverage I would suggest leaving this product out, if you feel that you need extra coverage then add it to your bag. I personally use the Too Faced: Tinted Beauty Balm with SPF:20. It gives a good amount of coverage for what I need and it’s perfect for a travel bag, especially if you’re going somewhere sunny because it contains an SPF.
Setting Powder: Something I always have to have on hand. I get pretty oily, especially throughout the summer so it keeps everything nice and matte. The powder I am currently using right now is Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in: Sandstorm.
Eye Primer: No matter what the weather is, I always use an eye primer to keep everything from moving around throughout the day. I think eye primers are a great invention and worked to a T, especially if you get the one right for you. They are meant to keep eyeshadows from creasing and help them stick a little better. I’m currently switching between two eye primers right now; Urban Decay Primer Potion: the original color and Too Faced Shadow insurance.
Mascara: You can never go wrong with having mascara in your bag, because if you aren’t feeling up to doing a full eye look then mascara can look amazing just on its own. And mascara always (in my opinion) perfects the perfect eye look by giving it more definition. The mascara i’m currently using right now is Cover Girl; Lash Blast in black. Blush/Bronzer: Both blush and bronzer gives your face extra color, both are great when defining your cheekbones and giving you a more flush look. Right now i’m currently not using a blush but I am using a bronzer; Physicians Formula; Bronze Booster in the color: Light to Medium.
Eyeshadows: Not all of your eyeshadows but either your go-to eyeshadow or go-to eyeshadow palette. I would suggest using eyeshadows that can go with any look, and can be changed from day to night. Currently the eyeshadow palette that i’m absolutely loving and take on all my trips is the Urban Decay; Theodora Palette. It’s full of great colors, light and dark and even comes with a light color for a highlight. It has the perfect mix for all the time.
Eyeliner: Everyone has their favorite eyeliner that they take everywhere with them. Whether it’s the perfect black or the brightest color that gives your look spunk, everyone should have one. Right now in my makeup bag I didn’t bring my eyeliner, lately i’ve liked my eye looks without eyeliner, makes the look less intense and more subtle. If I did have to choose an eyeliner though it would be Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in: Perversion.
Lip Color: Everyone often has their favorite lipstick, lipgloss or lip stain. I personally avoid a bunch of lip colors, mainly because I end up wiping it off. Right now though i’d probably choose my Ultra Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in: Theodora.
Brushes: Probably the most important things to have in your makeup bag, you can’t properly put on your favorite makeup products without great brushes. Personally I think there are seven brushes everyone should have in their makeup bag. Medium Flat Shader Brush, Foundation Brush, Powder Brush, Small Flat Shader Brush, Dome-Shape Blending Brush, Highlighter Brush, Eyebrow Brush.
That is everything I think every women should have in their makeup bag, you might think I left some products out such as; concealer and face primer, I personally do not use those products. Also you want to keep the items in your makeup bag to a minimum and you never really need face primer and concealer wherever you go.
