Must Have Beauty Tools!
Today I’m going to be talking to you about some must have beauty tools. A lot of people might think that having the highest quality eyeliner or foundation is all you need, but if you don’t have the right quality of tools to apply those beauty products with, then you’re not getting what you paid for.
So let’s get started!
Eyelash Curler: Eyelash curlers help hold a curl longer and better, applying a mascara can guarantee that the curl will last up to a whole day. If you naturally have thick and well curled eyelashes then just stick to mascara only.
Flat Shader Brush: The best way to apply an eye shadow onto your lid is by using a flat shader brush, not one of those cheap sponge applicators. You can purchase a shader brush that’s made from real animal hair or synthetic hair. I prefer synthetic, mostly because it’s cheaper and they clean better.
Blending Brush: The way to make your eye shadow look clean and smooth around the edges is by using a blending brush. Like the flat shader brush you can purchase a blending brush made from animal hair or synthetic hair. Not only does a blending brush help blend out harsh edges, it also helps add dark colors into your crease gradually so that it’s not too dramatic right away.
Eyeliner Brush: Eyeliner is always key in makeup looks, it brings the whole thing together. When I first started out with makeup, one of the first things I bought was an eyeliner brush. I used the very thin straight liner brush, there’s also the angled eyeliner brush which a lot of people find easier to use. Eyeliner brushes aren’t only used to line your upper lash line or your water line, but to fill in your eyebrows. Which makes eyeliner brushes very versatile.
Foundation Brush: Foundation is often a staple in a girls makeup routine, so having the right brush to apply it with is very important. There are a few different types of foundations brushes.
The original foundation brush is similar to a flat shader brush but 5 times the size, it’s known for apply full coverage makeup.
The stippling brush is perfect for BB or CC creams, the bristles are light enough and far apart enough so that you can get a light, airbrush affect.
A sponge applicator isn’t a brush, but I know so many people that use it to apply their foundation. It’s very easy to use and blends foundation better than a brush usually can.
Q-Tips: One of the cheapest beauty tools would have to be cotton swabs, or q-tips. If you’ve ran out of clean blending brushes then use a q-tip to blend out any harsh edges. They also work great to help sharpen up crease lines, just dip your q-tip into makeup remover and clean up wherever you’d like. And if you accidentally miss your lashes with mascara, take a q-tip and gently wipe off the mess you made.
Tweezers: All women and even men should have tweezers, especially if you like your eyebrows to always look neat and tidy. I carry a set of tweezers everywhere with me just in case. Tweezers aren’t just great for facial hair and eyebrows, but they’re handy if you get a wood or hair splinter somewhere. And always remember when using your tweezers on your eyebrows that they are “sisters” not “twins”.
Blow-Dyer: Probably one of the best heat tools for your hair that everyone has is a blow-dryer. The key is to find the right one for you. If you have thick and frizzy hair the best blow-dryer is one that’s high power, meaning it can dry your hair faster then most dryers. The blow-dryer I use is the Chi Deep Brilliance Hair Dryer. This blow-dryer dries my hair fast, and with barely any frizz, making my straightening process a lot faster.
Straightener: If you have hair that doesn’t like to cooperate then you should get yourself a straightener. Straighteners help smooth out your thick, curly, and frizzy hair. I have tried many straighteners from cheap to expsenive, as of right now I’m on the lookout for a new one. My biggest reason for having a straightener is to have straight, smooth hair. My hair is very frizzy because of all the damage I have done to it. Finding the right straightener for you is important, especially the one that fits your budget. Some straightener’s can also double as a curling iron, especially if it’s the type of straightener that gets hot all around the base of it.
