Let’s Glide the Eyeliner
One of my favorite types of eyeliner I use to line my lid is gel liner. If you have the right one then you know that gel liner goes on smooth and the color payoff is amazing. I find it easier to apply gel liner using a thin eyeliner brush that is bent. Like this one:
There are many different ways to apply gel liner, whether it’s the type of brush you use or how thick you make your line. I decided to create 4 looks only using gel liner, to show you how each one looks and which one might be best for you!
Thin Line
If you have a small amount of space on your lid or small eyes the best style of eyeliner for you is thin. Creating a thin line will help keep your eyes looking open, if you do a thick line you’ll close your eyes up more.
Thin line, thicker on outer corner
If your main goal with eyeliner is to create the effect of thicker lashes then this look is for you. You want to very thinly line around your inner corner (but don’t go all the way in your inner corner), as you get to the outer corner of your lid start thickening the line. Thickening the line on the outer corner will give the effect for thicker lashes that you’re looking for.
Thick line
If you have a lot of space on your lid then you can make a thick line on your lid. If you want to make the effect of smaller eyes, because you don’t like all of the space on your lid create a thick line like shown above.
Thin line, connect to lower lash-line
Tired of just lining your lid with a thin line? Want to add something a little different? Thinly line your lid and connect the line to your lower lash-line. But don’t go all the way along your lower lash-line, you don’t want to close up your eyes.
You can always create these looks using liquid liner and a pencil liner as well. I prefer gel because it’s easier to apply and not messy. With liquid liner you need a very steady, light hand. With a pencil liner it can pull on your lid, causing premature wrinkles.
I hope this helped you discover 4 simple and easy eyeliner looks. Enjoy!
The eyeliner I used for all of these looks is: Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner.
