Halloween Look: Dead

Since Halloween is coming up I decided to create easy and affordable makeup looks that anyone can accomplish. My first Halloween look is how to look dead. Minus all the blood and guts. If you want to go out and purchase fake blood you can, but I wanted to keep this look simple and give people a chance to use what they already have.

To create this look the main things you’ll need are: a matte black shadow, black liner, and an angled contour brush.

(Angled contour brush-Sephora, black shadow-Urban Decay Smoked palette, Perversion eyeliner-Urban Decay)

  1. Apply your foundation as usual, but don’t set it with a face powder.

  2. With a flat shader brush apply the matte black eye shadow all over your lid up to your brow, pull it down to your lower lash-line. (take it down pretty far)

  3. Apply perversion eyeliner on your lash-line and waterline.

  4. To add a little extra, just apply black mascara.

Now it’s time to create a sunken-in dead look. Take your angled contour brush and the matte black shadow, apply the shadow to the hallows of your cheese and along your temples. Softly blend it out and keep adding more black until you get the color payoff that you want.

To finish the look completely, add some black lipstick. You can go to any Halloween store and buy some, but since I wanted to use what I had, I went for black eyeliner.

And here’s your finished look!

You can choose whatever type of outfit you would like, I’d suggest something black. And just remember that you don’t need to go out and spend your money to create a Halloween look!
