Halloween Look: Avatar
For my next Halloween look I wanted to do something related to mermaids, so I went on Pinterest and found this picture for inspiration:
My main color I used for this look is Aquadisiac from MAC.
For highlighting around my upper cheek bones and above my eyebrows I used Hollywood from NYX.
My attempt came out like this:
(I thinly lined all around my eyes with Maybelline Gel Liner and used Perversion from Urban Decay on my waterline)
I wanted to add more to the look then just dark liner and blue on my face, so I took small black jewels and placed them above my eyebrows using Duo Lash Glue)
My boyfriend suggested making my whole face blue, I was a little skeptical, but I went for it anyways.
So with the same color: Aquadisiac, I placed it all over my face.
(As you can see, I chose to add more black jewels above my eyebrows, until they met.)
I sent my boyfriend a picture, just like the one above and his response was “Avatar!” It got me thinking, maybe I should go towards that look, instead of a mermaid look. So I went online in search of the perfect picture and pulled inspiration from this:
To create the lines that you can see are on her face I used a CoverGirl trio, I used the second color.)
Make sure to blend the lines into your hair line. To create the lines I used a medium tapered blending brush.
This look wouldn’t be complete without blue lips, So I lined and filled in my lips with a NYX eyeliner in Sapphire.
And here is your finished look!
As you can see in this picture, I didn’t blend the blue down my neck. Color placement all depends on how much skin will be showing from the costume you get. And if you plan on keeping your hair down you don’t need to worry about your ears. But if you’re planning to have your hair up, I suggest buying elf-like ears and painting them blue like your face.
I hope you enjoyed this look, I had a lot of fun creating it! And I didn’t have to go out and buy anything to create it! Have a great Halloween everyone!
