First Impressions: Real Techniques Makeup Brushes
Samantha Chapman is an amazing makeup artist and great beauty YouTube “guru” along with her sister Nic, their YouTube name is Pixiwoo. She started a makeup brush line called “Real Techniques”. After watching her and her sister’s YouTube videos for years and watching them use those specific brushes, I decided to check them out. I only bought one, best to test out items in small amounts. I purchased the “Stippling brush”. On the “Real Techniques” website there’s a page talking about the brushes, stating that all the brushes have; 1. Ultra-plush taklon bristles, 2. Extended aluminum ferrules, 3. Brush names (for quick reference), 4. Self standing base. Since I am in the middle of washing my new brush I haven’t gotten the chance to test out its performance. When I was notified through USPS that my package had arrived and quickly went to the mail box and there I found an awesome Chrome bright pink packaging letter. I loved that, it’s something different from any other company I’ve ever purchased from. It was fun and whimsical and still professional. When I opened up the package there was brown tissue paper wrapped around my brush box. Not sure if it was so extra protection or just for beauty. The brush came in a little clear plastic box, with the name of the brush, and on the back was a picture of Samantha Chapman and a little quote about the brushes. When I took out the brush from its box I immediately felt the bristles, they were super soft and strong, but at the same time not rough. I loved that it can stand on its own, so that I don’t have to worry about laying it down somewhere and it getting dirty from anything. The bright color on the brush is a really nice pink, which is very girly personal. The brush name is listed on the base so you always know which one you have. I can’t wait to try it out, I know it’ll be a great foundation brush because I have watched Samantha use the same brush in her videos for that exact use and it looks great. When I first started wearing makeup, brushes weren’t a big deal to me, because I was just too young and not very knowledgeable about needing good quality brushes. Always remember that your makeup always goes on better with the right tools. The tools in no way have to be highly priced, but well made.
