Feeling good makes you beautiful!

Does getting sick or having a migraine make you feel less beautiful some days? Because you just don’t feel good enough to get dressed or dab on a little makeup? Well I’ve been there, trust me, I think everyone has. The number one key to feeling beautifully is to feel good about yourself, mentally and physically. And when you get sick, all that beauty goes out the window.

I’ve suffered from migraines for years, and I never feel beautiful when I have them. Why? Because I just want to lay in a ball without any makeup on and be clothed in comfy sweats. So today I’m gonna talk about those horrible migraines, and help you understand why they occur and how to prevent the problem and ease the problem as it continues.

So what exactly is a migraine?

No one exactly knows the scientific background of what a migraine actually is. Some say that migraines are a chronic neurological disorder. It’s said that migraines are also a combination of blood vessel enlargement and the release of chemicals from nerve fibers that surround the blood vessels. That basically means you have a severe headache but with the added nauseous and dizziness.

What causes them?

So many things can cause migraines, or headaches that turn into migraines. Such as: stress, caffeine withdrawals, alcohol, anxiety, strong perfumes/fragrances, missed meals, and smoking.

Now the biggest question. How can I stop them?

There are so many home remedies and medicines out there that are said to stop migraines. Personally each method is different for each person. A home remedy method may work on someone wonderfully, but that doesn’t mean it will work for someone else.

Test these remedies, maybe ones right for you!

  1. Drink water

  2. Drink caffeine

  3. Fish oil

  4. Peppermint oil

  5. Eat ginger

  6. Magnesium

  7. Vitamin B2

  8. Cold or hot compress

  9. Advil

  10. Tylonol

  11. Take a hot shower

  12. Lay in bed with all the lights off

  13. Avoid loud sounds (don’t have music playing or the tv on)

  14. Sleep

For me the number one remedy that has gotten me through many migraines was throwing up, mainly because that’s one of my biggest symptoms. Throwing up for some reason takes the migraine away, partially because you got rid of the nausea and you’re now left with a simple headache. Also sleep, the minute I get migraines (which is usually at night) I take my Advil pm and go straight to bed. My migraines are usually gone by morning.

Just remember that you don’t have to feel beautiful when you have on the cutest outfit or the best makeup, but those are factors to feeling beautiful. Being healthy and happy is the number one beauty trick!
