Eyebrow Madness!
The feature that defines your face the most are your eyebrows! Just think about what your face would look like without them, you’d be missing something you never knew was important to your whole face. I know I love having well done eyebrows all the time, makes me feel like my face is complete.
I’m gonna give you a little background on my eyebrow history..here it goes. When I was going into 7th grade my mom suggested I get my eyebrows waxed because I was insecure about how full my brows were. That experience was good, but the woman barely did anything, so I went to my moms bathroom and took her tweezers to my brows. Bad idea! I had really thin eyebrows that looked weird because my face use to have full eyebrows on it! So after I got into watching YouTube videos I started researching about how to properly groom my eyebrows without dramatically changing them. Ever since then I try to keep my eyebrows well groomed and in between thick and thin, always go for a “medium” brow!
Here are some “Don’ts” for eyebrows:
Over pluck with tweezers
Pluck with a magnified mirror (not everyone can see every hair except for you in that mirror, and that one little hair you might have plucked could mess up your brow shape)
Over fill with a brow pencil or brow powder, you’re going for natural not fake
Follow trends, extremely thick eyebrows might be in high fashion, but that doesn’t mean they’re fit for you
Don’t be afraid to pluck the top hairs of your eyebrows, remember you can shape them from top and bottom
Don’t let your eyebrows be exactly the same, remember that eyebrows are sisters not twins
Here are some “Do’s” for eyebrows
Make sure you have enough light when dealing with brows
Pull the hairs out in the way they grow
Before removing the hairs use a soothing lotion or ice if you’re sensitive to pain
Always use this method when you’re new to grooming eyebrows;
If you want to fill in your eyebrows make sure to use a light hand and fill in the sparse areas only
Make sure the pencil or powder matches your hair color, or a few shades lighter
The most important advice I can give you is this: if you’re planning on grooming your eyebrows for the first time make sure to either do a lot of research online or seek professional help. A lot of women that do eyebrows can let you know what style and thickness of brows would look good on you! And in case you didn’t already know, there are 3 different techniques for grooming eyebrows; threading, tweezing, and waxing! Choose which one is right for you.
