Brown edgy eyes!
It’s been so long since I’ve had the motivation to do my makeup and actually blog about it. This heat in California would make anyone unmotivated! But I’m slowly getting back to it! And since it has been a while I decided to go with a more edgy look than I normally do.
Let’s get this look started!
First and most importantly, priming the lids! For this I used my Urban Decay: Primer Potion–Original.
After primer is the most important part to this look, tape. The look I’m going for has a stronger edge than my normal look. More crisp, a little less blending.
Now that our tape is placed where we want it, apply your shadows. I used 2 palettes for this makeup look, Urban Decay: Naked Smoky Palette and Tarte: Pro Palette.
The first palette I will be using is the Smoky Palette.
From the Smoky Palette I used High all over my lid, and blended it into my crease.
Next using a very tapered crease brush, apply Combust into the crease down along the tape. This is just for our transition color, this will help darker colors blend easier.
To begin darkening look take the same tapered brush and apply Whiskey to the crease, and along the tape. Keep blending and slowly adding more of Whiskey to get it evenly distributed.
To add the last hit of dark to this look, take the same tapered brush and apply a little bit of Black Market to the outer crease, blend it only halfway into the crease.
While you still have the tape on, add your liner. The tape will help you create a nice clean wing. First I used KatVonD: Tattoo Liner in Mad Max Brown, I used it more as a guideline for the black liner I’ll use next.
For the black liner I used Sephora: Disney Minnie in Little Black Dress (my favorite liner of all time).
To complete the top lid, add a highlight. I prefer using matte highlights when my lid has shimmer. Taking a fluffy blending brush, apply Thirteen to the brow bone to help blend everything out.
Let’s get to the bottom lid!
Taking Urban Decay: 24/7 Eyeliner in Perversion line your upper and lower water-line.
I think it’s about time to get to my other palette! Using Tarte: Pro Palette, I used a small smudge brush to apply Drama along my lower lash-line, blending it into Perversion liner.
Go ahead and apply your favorite mascara and your look is complete! The mascara I used is TooFaced: Better Than Sex Mascara.
Your edgy eyes are complete!
