Bronzy Blue Eyes

Lately I feel like my makeup looks have been lacking something… Color. So today I decided to work on a look with some blue, or I guess a lot of blue. Don’t ever be afraid of mixing up your makeup looks, makeup is suppose to give you a chance to be creative, so don’t be afraid to work outside of the box. Starting off you want to prime the lids, since my base shadows will be bronze colors, I chose to use Urban Decay: Primer Potion in Sin. Apply it all over the lid, keeping it just below the crease.

Next a sticky base to help the colors apply as best as they can. I used my NYX Cosmetics: Jumbo Eye Pencil in Iced Mocha.

Time for Shadows!

*Side note: I did use a lot of palettes to create this look, playing with looks can take a lot of makeup. But if you have a palette that has all/most colors, feel free to use it!

Using my Urban Decay: Naked Palette (first one), I applied Sidecar all over my lid, slightly blending it into my crease using a flat shader brush. Take a clean dome shaped blending brush, and blend Sidecar out, making sure there’s no harsh lines.

To add some depth to the eyes, I applied smog into the crease, using a very fluffy dome shaped brush, this way not too much color applies.

To finish up with the bronze in this look, take a small pencil brush, apply Darkhorse into the outer-v, and slightly blend it out, keeping most of the color in the outer-v.

Time to brighten up the look a little before adding some color. Using NYX Cosmetics: Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, apply it to the inner corner of your eyes.

To keep the jumbo pencil in place, and add an extra brightness to the inner corner I used the shimmery white in the BH Cosmetics: Wild Child Palette.

Adding an inner corner highlight can get a little repetitive for some makeup looks, so I decided to add an extra boost of bright color to the inner corner. Taking Urban Decay: 24/7 Eyeliner in Flipside smudge it along the lower part of the inner corner. Apply over top of it Peace from Urban Decay: Deluxe Shadow Box Palette.

Using NYX Cosmetics: Eye Pencil in Sapphire (913), I smudged it all along my lower lash-line, blending it out slightly.

To set the dark blue liner along the lower lash-line, take a small thin shader brush and apply a shadow similar in color. For this I used Blueberry Swirl from the Too Faced: Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette.

Taking the same liner we used before; NYX Cosmetics: Eye Pencil in Sapphire, I lined my lid, winging it out just slightly.

Now it’s time to finish up the look!  Taking any mascara you prefer, apply two coats to the top lashes and one coat to the bottom. For this I used CoverGirl: LashBlast Volume Mascara in Very Black.

Your Bronzy Blue Eye look is now complete!
