Bold & Blue Makeup Tutorial

I received the Morphe x Lisa Frank Palette for Christmas. And let me tell you, I love it! The pigmentation is phenomenal, and all the shadows blend beautifully. I feel like some people get weary of blue eye shadows. Probably because they don't want to end up looking like Mimi from The Drew Carey Show haha. But I actually love blue eye shadows, I think they make my brown eyes pop really well.

So let's start with the most important part of any good eye look, primer! I used Urban Decay: Primer Potion and blended onto my lids, and along my lower lash-line. To get my lines nice and clean I applied ELF: Line & Define Tape. Next using a big fluffy dome shaped brush I blended Balloon Buddies into my crease as a transition color. Next I applied Panda Painter into my crease using the same fluffy brush

To darken up the crease I applied Max Splash using a stiffer dome shaped brush

I want my lid color to be as bright and bold as possible. So I cleaned up my lid using Clinique: Take The Day Off Liquid Makeup remover on a Q-tip, and removed the excess eye shadow on my lid

To ensure the best color from the eye shadow, I applied NYX Cosmetics: Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk all over my lid, avoiding the crease

Using a flat shading brush I applied Spotty & Dotty right on top of Milk

Next I applied Benefit Cosmetics: Bad Gal Bang 24hr Eyeliner to my water line, and smudged it a little bit onto my lower lash line

Using a small smudging brush I smudged Max Splash along my lower lash line

To brighten up the eyes I applied Milk to my inner corner and a shimmery pearl eye shadow right on top

I wanted to add some liquid liner, but I didn't want to take away too much from my bright lids. So I applied a thin line of NYX Cosmetics: Epic Ink Liner along my top lashes

To finish up the eye look I applied a couple of coats of TooFaced: Better Than Sex Mascara to my top and bottom lashes

And my Bold & Blue eye look is complete!
