Beauty Review! Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick

Recently I was given a Stila Liquid Lipstick in the color Bella (13). I absolutely love the color. Admittedly I probably have way too many lipglosses and lipsticks this color, though when you find a bright and vibrant color that suits you, you should stick with it! 

This liquid lipstick is said to be: 

1. Bleed-proof & Transfer proof

2. Keeps lips soft & Hydrated

3. Doe-foot wand for perfect application

4. Color feels weightless on lips

Unfortunately I don’t feel as though most of these statements are true. Which is disappointing, especially for such a great brand.  My thoughts:

1. It stays within your lipline

2. Not long lasting

3. It does transfer

4. The doe-foot wand is the perfect size for great application 

5. It does feel weightless

I took some time lapse pictures of the liquid lipstick on my lips throughout a couple of hours. 

First application

The liquid lipstick is very vibrant and opaque. And applies evenly on the lips. 

3 hours after 1st application

The lipstick is cracking, and flaking off towards the inner part of my lips

After reapplying

You can see that reapplying the lipstick over the older lipstick didn’t completely cover all around my lips, the lipstick only grabbed where the lipstick was still on from before. In person you could tell how dry my lips were getting, and the reapplication accentuated the dry patches.

All in all I think the color is gorgeous, perfect for a quick photo-shoot, or if you just want a bright color, but are expecting it not to last all day. I would suggest a lip balm before hand to help reduce any dry patches.
