April Ipsy Bag!

It’s time for my Ipsy bag review! I can’t believe April is almost halfway gone, feels like it just started! But the best part of it being the middle of the month, is that I receive my Ipsy bag! This months theme is “Beauty Rocks”, so I of course assumed dark, rocker type products.       First off is the cute little travel makeup bag you get! I don’t know about you, but I always try to find ways to use my travel bags from Ipsy, whether I’m using it to store any makeup products, or to take traveling with me.

Products time! My favorite part of this post!

Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet- Glide on Pencil: Black Velvet

I recently just found out about this new eyeliner that Urban Decay has come out with, and I’ve been interested to try it. When I found that it was in my Ipsy bag, I got really excited, never thought I’d get it! The application is very smooth, very nice matte black color pay-off. It doesn’t come off as black and creamy as Urban Decay’s Perversion, but it is velvety, just like the name!

MaryKay- Jelly Lip Gloss: Teddy Bear

Unfortunately this lip gloss was a big disappointment. Lately I’ve been very into wearing lip gloss, so when I noticed a lip gloss in my Ipsy bag, I was excited to try it out. The color wasn’t very intriguing, but I thought I’d give it a try. But this lip gloss is not easy to apply, it’s extremely thick, and far too sticky. The color looks darker than it is in the tube. It made my lips look a lot lighter, not a very attractive look. I’m pretty bummed this lip gloss didn’t work out, but I’m glad I got the chance to test it out.

Dr. Brandt- Microdermabrasion: Skin Exfoliate

I love getting new skincare products in my Ipsy bag, I have pretty normal skin, so I’m always looking for products that will keep my skin looking young and healthy. Microdermabrasion is a very good exfoliating treatment, and microdermabrasion products are just as good. I haven’t gotten the chance to test out this exfoliate, but I will definitely do a “Saturday Reviews” with it.

Demeter Fragrance- Roll on Perfume Oil: Jasmine

I’m not a big fan of sample perfumes that I don’t get to choose. Mainly because I usually don’t like the scents, but surprisingly enough, I actually like this scent. It smells very fresh, and not too sweet. Perfect for putting in your purse for an “on-the-go” scent.

Rainbow Honey Cosmetics- Nail Polish: Midnight Fountain

I love this color! And it’s a color I don’t actually have in my nail polish collection, which is great. It’s highly pigmented, I tested it out, and noticed I only needed 2 coats to get a full color pay-off. It dries very nicely, and fast.

(This is with 1 coat)

I can’t wait to continue trying out all of these products for the next few weeks, and I will keep you updated with some “in-depth” reviews!
